Position: Kitchen Shift Lead, Full Time

Compensation: $24 – $27/hour D.O.E plus pro-rata share of our BOH Fee
Job Status: This position may be part-time or full time, and requires working a minimum of 30-40 hours per week. Weekend availability is most likely required depending on the restaurant(s) need(s) at the time your application is received.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a passionate, experienced, and highly motivated Shift Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic Back of House (BOH) team. This isn’t just a cooking role; it’s a leadership opportunity where you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining our renowned quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a kitchen with demonstrated supervisory responsibility over a team is required.
- Leadership & Calm Under Pressure: Ability to confidently lead BOH operations, multitask effectively, and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Team-First Mentality: A genuine desire to collaborate, foster a positive team dynamic, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Operational Savvy: Experience using management tools (checklists, par sheets, prep lists) to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen flow.
- Flexibility: Availability to work weekends and early mornings (as early as 6:00 AM may be required).
- Passion for Quality: A keen eye for detail to ensure all food items meet Blue Pan’s high standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness.
- Adaptability: Readiness and willingness to work any kitchen position as needed to support the team.
- Leading BOH Operations: Overseeing and directing kitchen staff during assigned shifts to ensure peak performance and efficiency.
- Operational Management: Utilizing management tools to streamline prep, production, and overall kitchen flow.
- Coordination & Communication: Collaborating closely with Front of House (FOH) managers on ticket quoting and labor management to optimize service.
- Quality Assurance: Maintaining rigorous standards for food quality, consistency, presentation, and sanitation.
- Team Development: Assigning roles, providing guidance, and overseeing BOH staff to maintain workflow and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Compliance: Upholding all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Strategic Input: Attending weekly BOH leadership meetings to contribute to operational improvements and team strategy.
